Passion Over Reason

Vancouver’s Passion Over Reason began in 2016 when neighbours Cary, Jon, and Brian discovered a mutual interest in making music at their annual block party. Beginning with casual living room jam sessions, the trio decided to take their music outside by playing feature sets at block parties, local open mics, and private events.

The name Passion Over Reason was serendipitous, as the backyard studio where the trio rehearses has the sentiment engraved over the doorway; placed by a previous resident who undoubtedly was an artist.

Playing a wide range of danceable rock, pop, new wave, and country-rock hits from the 70s-on, the band is all about sharing their love of music and familiar songs with their audience.
